Types and sizes specify projects requiring EIA reports. There will be 2 levels of EIA, the initial environmental examination (IEE) and the full EIA. Projects with less environmental impact will be required to do only IEE, while projects with more impact will be required to do full EIA. IEE can be done in less time, since it will only use expert judgment based on rapid assessment of mostly secondary data. On the other hand, full EIA will require more actual field primary data and involve careful analysis of major and minor impacts, as well as probability forecast by mathematical models. The types and sizes of projects requiring only IEE or full EIA will be specified.
In fact, with so much to do on and around Phuket, booking a longer stay may be advisable - just to give yourself time to fit it all in.

- Obtain and review the IEE APPROVAL from the Government prior to presentation at the pre-construction conference. The Owner should be provided copies of all IEE APPROVAL
- Obtain and review the Building Permit followed by IEE from the Government prior to pre-construction conference, furnish the names of the Project Management person, Resident Engineer (and Inspectors upon request) with qualifications for approval by the Owner.
- Prepare, coordinate and schedule the pre-construction conference, after the construction contracts are awarded
